Hi, I’m Michelle! 🌸

My heart has always been with children—especially those who may experience the world a little differently.

For the past 12 years, I’ve worked as a special education teacher supporting students with significant needs, including children who have experienced trauma and those who benefit from extra emotional, behavioral, and academic support. Through this work, I’ve seen just how important it is for children to have safe spaces where they feel calm, understood, successful, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

Before beginning this journey into yoga and mindfulness, I spent 5 years as a cheer coach, helping children build confidence, strength, teamwork, and joy through movement. Watching kids grow through encouragement and connection inspired me to find another path where movement could also support emotional wellness, self-regulation, and healing.
That’s how Peaceful Petals began.

I created Peaceful Petals as a nurturing space where children can move, breathe, grow, and bloom at their own pace. My goal is to combine my background in special education, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and movement to create inclusive yoga experiences that help children build confidence, emotional awareness, coping skills, and a sense of inner peace.

At Peaceful Petals, yoga is about so much more than poses—it’s about helping children feel strong, safe, connected, and proud of who they are.

Whether your child is learning to manage big feelings, build confidence, improve focus, or simply needs a gentle place to move and breathe, I would be honored to be part of their journey.

Every child blooms in their own time—and that’s exactly as it should be. 🌼💛
